CURRENT ROATAN NEWS:
The team all helped around the grounds. The guys went and did some much needed macheteing. The grass was taller than some of them, about time to cut it! While they were cutting the grass with machete's the ladies did some cleanup work along the road, clearing some areas that had been overrun with vines and cleaning up areas with jungle growth. It was a lot of hard work in the sun, but we loved the chance to be working together and getting things accomplished!

We went to the girls’ home in Sandy Bay. When we arrived they were practicing a dance routine for church, so they invited us to learn it with them. It was fun! We did that and then got to the makeovers with them. It was a wonderful evening and we continue to be blessed to be able to go there and love on them.

Roatan, Honduras at The Friend Ships Village

THE FRIEND SHIPS VILLAGE
Located in the beautiful Bay Islands of Central American on Roatán, the Village is strategically placed just off the coast of Honduras. Here we have established a conference center with overnight accommodations and kitchen facilities that is utilized by local ministries to host discipleship seminars. In the past few weeks, we have hosted a five day prayer and fasting conference, a weekend men's encounter, a women's conference and a children's meeting, each producing great spiritual fruit.

Currently, we are working on building up our food production so that we have home-grown fish, fruits and vegetables to utilize in providing for the future Central American Sea Hawks program. And the local Pastor's Association is completing the Village Soccer Field to reach out to the island's youth with a Christian soccer league.

Since 1997, Friend Ships has been established in Roatán and has provided thousands of tons of humanitarian goods, offered training classes, disaster relief and medical services to both the Honduran mainland and the Bay Islands.
