Friend Ship HOPE Prepares for Mission to West Indies & Central America

In a few weeks, Friend Ship Hope will deliver medical help to thousands of people. And these people will hear of our great God and His Son, who have sent us! On October 1, Hope and her crew will sail for Nevis in the West Indies where we are working with Trinity Broadcasting Network to provide a large scale medical outreach. In addition, we will leave a Mobile Medical Super Clinic in Nevis at the TBN television station to serve people in need for many years to come.   Late in October we will sail from the West Indies to Roatán and Tela, Honduras in Central America and provide similar services. 

This month has been a busy season of gathering people, equipment and supplies. As always, the Lord provides above and beyond what is needed!   We have received unbelievable donations for the medical clinics over the past few months including defibrillators, a dental x-ray, glucometers with supplies, blood pressure cuffs, stethoscopes, ophthalmoscopes, exam lights, exam room stools, dental instruments, many medicines and truckloads of medical supplies. 

Hope is receiving much care including maintenance to her mechanical system and application of  zincs and paint to her hull.  The helicopter is being prepared and an incredible crew is coming together to make this a powerful, effective and exciting mission! The Super Clinics are being completed and they are looking good!  Each air conditioned container holds two complete clinics fully equipped and stocked with supplies and medicine.  Doctors tell us that it is like walking into a well equipped U.S. clinic with pharmacy included.  The photos above show the interior of a medical clinic.

Earthquake hits Peru!

Friend Ships is responding to the 7.9 earthquake that hit south of Lima, Peru on August 16th.  We are sending heavy duty tarp material to provide shelter, a critical need.  Up to 80% of the homes and buildings were damaged and thousands of people are sleeping in the streets.  There are hundreds of deaths and many more injuries.  The Dream Center Peru will be our recipient of the goods and see that they are distributed.

Storehouse One West Coast is in Full Swing!

 There are 22 churches and organizations in Southern California receiving food to distribute to the poor each week.  We have been blessed with a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, yogurt, breads and more.   If you would like to collect food and distribute to the needy in your city, we can tell you how!  Request our Storehouse One manual and Fruit and Vegetable Handbook by emailing Storehouseone@friendships.org or call (337) 433-5022.

This month Radio Friend Ships had many exciting guests including David Davis of Carmel Assembly and House of Victory Rehabilitation Center in Mt. RAMP Up Your Faith

The Friend Ships Relief Apprenticeship Missions Program (RAMP) has begun!
