Ways to Help:

Please confirm with Friend Ships at the time of a disaster what funds or items are needed to respond to that disaster.  During a time of disaster relief we will update a list of items needed (click here for general list at this time).

  1. How to make a Contribution of funds:

    • You can donate online (click here).

    • Call our Port Mercy office at (337) 433-5022.

    • Email for assistance.

    • Mail a check/money order to our Port Mercy office at:

    Friend Ships Unlimited

    1019 North First Avenue

    Lake Charles, LA  70601

    USA

Please make all donations payable to Friend Ships Unlimited.

NOTE:  Please make sure to specify if you prefer to designate your funds towards a specific area otherwise, your financial donation will be used where it is needed most.

  2. How to make donations of items needed.

    • Before starting a collections of goods to send to Friend Ships, check the items needed list or email us for the most up to date needs.

    • Make sure items are Well Packed and Labeled.

      • It is more efficient when items are sent properly sorted, clearly labeled and ready for distribution.

      • Make a specific content list.  It should be taped to the outside of each box you are sending.  This allows contents to get to the proper distribution location in a timely manner.  Please try to pack related items together to prevent further sorting.

      • Food items - canned or dry goods, when needed, should be boxed separate from other items.  No perishable foods.

  3. Mail all boxes to our Port Mercy location.

    Friend Ships

    Attn: (Disaster Response)

NOTE:  If your donated supplies or items arrive at Port Mercy after we have completed processing and loading supplies for a particular mission or disaster relief effort, they will be kept for another related mission of relief to a nation in need.  It is the responsibility of the donor to arrange mailing boxes to the Port Mercy location.
