Current Disaster Response

It is a busy season here at Friend Ships as church organizations and relief agencies throughout the world request help in meeting needs of disaster victims.  It is a blessing that we are often able to respond.

Missions to Myanmar

Friend Ships is sending aid to the cyclone ravaged nation of Myanmar (formerly Burma).  Tens of thousands of people perished in this deadly recent natural disaster and one of the primary needs is heavy duty tarp material to repair roofs and build shelters. Although logistics and permits in this area are difficult to obtain, we have found a way to get these items directly to people in need and our team will be sending a shipment at once.  Please pray that this aid will be a great blessing to those most in need and a powerful demonstration of the love of Jesus to those families and individuals who have been devastated by this tragic event.

As of May 23rd, the government of Myanmar has agreed to cooperate with aid coming into the country. Friend Ships has sent out an initial shipment and would like to increase our ability to provide relief commodities to this devastated nation.  If you would like to help us ship commodities, you can do so through a financial gift that will be used for transportation of goods.
